Wisdom Teeth Removal

Wisdom teeth, a.k.a 3rd molars, are the teeth farthest back in your jaw.

Why do Wisdom teeth need to be removed?

Wisdom teeth for most people are ticking time bombs. There is just not enough room in the jaw and mouth for them to grow and they will usually cause a lot of problems for your jaw, jaw bone, and other teeth. It is common to grow cysts or abscesses beneath the wisdom tooth. Most of the time they will not grow straight and will become very hard to clean, hard to reach, and ultimately they are likely to get cavities and cause your more discomfort and problems than they are worth. It is common practice to have them extracted.

You and our dentists may decide to remove your wisdom teeth. This is usually a good option if you are unable to clean your wisdom teeth, or there is discomfort, or if your bite is misaligned.
